In June, fitness professionals across the country flocked to Miami to attend IHRSA 2022. Our teams from Club Automation, VFPnextMotionsoft, and CSI Spectrum were fired up to show club owners how they can take their business to new heights.

Over the week, the teams worked with hundreds of booth attendees, showing them how end-to-end technology can help their clubs operate at the top of their game. One thing is clear: club owners are excited to learn how they can reach new members, build stronger relationships, and expand their businesses in the wake of a growing fitness industry. We came back energized and determined to help you raise the bar this year.

Here are our IHRSA highlights in case we didn’t see you this year:

Your Team and Your Tech Are the Keys to Success

Sharing knowledge was at the top of everyone’s mind this year, and the passion for learning and fitness created an energizing atmosphere like no other.

Starting with the Women’s Leadership Summit, our teams showcased how their incredible women leaders are guiding them to success. With an intro from VFP’s Amy Simpson, Tiffany VanDeMark sat down with Ellen Latham, Creator & Co-founder of Orangetheory Fitness who shared her story of determination as she created Orangetheory as a female in a male dominated industry!

Our very own sales and membership expert, Nick Thornton, gave a sneak preview of The Experience at the Industry Partner Education Seminar. Members want a top tier experience, and Nick dove deep into how creating a personalized, end-to-end member journey can help you raise the bar higher than your competition.

Two of the industry’s most beloved faces, session moderator Jeff VanDixhorn and innovator extraordinaire Daron Allen, led stellar Spark Sessions about how to push the fitness industry forward. Rounding out the pack, our CEO Ron Lamb shared his insights on the panel “Technology + Humans: Data Collection vs Human Connection.”

“The way that you differentiate is that member experience – creating that joy, that excitement, and those touchpoints. [You need to make] sure that you’re taking care of those members’ unique needs and treating them like a unique individual.” – Ron Lamb, CEO

Club Augie Raised Over $175k in Support of ALS Research

Every year at IHRSA, a gala fundraiser is thrown by Augie’s Quest, an organization co-founded by Augie Nieto. This year’s fundraiser brought the heat!

Augie is the fitness industry mogul behind Lifecycle, Life Fitness, and Octane Fitness. After he was diagnosed with ALS in 2005, his disease robbed him of his strength and the use of his body. Using adaptive technology that takes him hours to communicate even short phrases, Augie faces the reality of his disease with a determination to help find a cure.

At the time of his diagnosis, ALS lacked critical research and support, so Augie co-founded Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS. Through events and partnerships, Augie and his team raise money to fund the most promising ALS research.

This year we partnered with Augie’s Quest to host a rooftop party called “Club Augie.” Hundreds of people came together at the Moxy Hotel to celebrate the fitness industry and give to Augie’s Quest. Over $175,000 was raised in support of ALS research!

After our energizing IHRSA experience, the Club Automation, VFPnext, Motionsoft, and CSI teams are ready to help club owners tackle new challenges and reach farther than they have before. Our teams had so much fun this year at IHRSA, and we can’t wait to see you there next time!
